I made these cuttings from the garden two wks before the Lunar New Year. This is a tradition of mine for years. Any flowering tree and shrub can be forced this way.
As a child in Hong Kong, I remember forced cherry and peach and quince blossoms were common in the markets before New Year. Red is always best for the occasion.
